Discover Judique in Inverness County, rooted in Gaelic music culture since 1775 in the oldest Highland settlement on the Island, on scenic Route 19, Canada’s Musical Coast. It’s a Cape Breton must-do, to visit the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre. A morning tour provides a leisurely walk to the shoreline. Look out across a wide vista, feel a salt breeze, and pause at peaceful settings that were restored in memory of the early community. In the Centre enjoy the interactive exhibits, display panels, and general history to enhance your visit to the Island. Next, it’s time for a Ceilidh, stay for delicious food, company, and an up close live musical experience. It’s an orientation you won’t forget.
Musical Walking Tour – This event combines the joy of walking and learn interesting facts about Cape Breton’s culture, music and history along the way! End the walk with a live musical performance in our main room. Discover hidden gems and enjoy the sounds of talented musicians!
May to mid-October Tours and Ceilidhs are Monday – Friday; Tours 9:30 am- 11:30 am, Ceilidhs 11:30 am – 2 pm / Sunday Ceilidhs 2 pm – 5 pm year-round; for food service see our website.
Tour: $25 per person; Lunchtime Ceilidh – no admission charge, pay for lunch; Sunday Ceilidhs $10 admission
The tours can be booked ahead online. The facility is accessible and inclusive. The music culture is shared by Gaels, Acadians, Mi’kmaq and all ages of players and musicians across the Island.
