Arm of Gold Campground and Trailer Park is located in Little Bras d’Or on beautiful Cape Breton Island and is the closest campground to the Newfoundland Ferry in North Sydney (five-minute drive). Our park boasts a beautiful 1.2-km walking trail that gives a panoramic view of the Bras d’Or Lakes a UNESCO biosphere reserve and has several rest areas where one can enjoy the tranquility of the lush scenery or watch the eagles fishing.
Our central location allows our guests to leave the campground and in mere minutes begin your road trip on the famous Cabot Trail. This breathtaking drive will take you through some of the world’s most beautiful scenery. The road winds through quaint Acadian villages, over salmon fishing rivers, along side of majestic waterfalls and through old growth forests. Other day trip ideas include visits to the Fortress of Louisbourg, the Gaelic College, Bell Bay and Highland Links golf courses, and the village of Baddeck.
Our campsite includes 140 overnight sites with electrical (30/50-amp), water and sewage hook-ups, some unserviced, some pull-throughs. We also have two camp cabins. Guest amenities include flush toilets, modern washrooms, laundromat facilities, a canteen, a kitchenette, free wireless Internet, an RV and car wash, and vehicle storage. Camp activities include a playground and walking trail.
We are a proud member of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia and the Campground Owners Association of Nova Scotia.
Cancellation policy: Must cancel 24 hours prior to the day of arrival.
